Writing to NTFS Volumes

 Ever come across a thumb drive or hard drive that you can’t write to while using your Mac? Well, don’t worry, that’s what I’m here for…to explain how you too can enjoy full access to NTFS volumes just like your PC brethren. You just need to install the 2 system preferences below that will make your life so much easier:


NTFS-3G (I would recommend the stable build)

NTFS-3G uses the libraries from MacFUSE. Hey, what can I say, it’s free! If you get a warning message that the volume wasn’t rejected properly, you can ignore it and do a forced mount. Typical lazy Windows users…
